Licensing and Self Defense Program
Course Lessons
(times may vary)
Course welcome and gathering period 30 minutes

Knowledge of and safe handling of single and double action
revolvers and semiautomatic handguns. 240 minutes

Safe storage of handguns and child safety. 20 minutes
-
Safe handgun shooting fundamentals. 60 minutes
-
Live shooting of a handgun on a firing range. 240 minutes
-
Identification of ways to develop and maintain handgun-shooting
skills. 45 minutes
-
Federal, state and local criminal and civil laws pertaining to
the purchase, ownership, transportation, use and possession of
handguns. 60 minutes
-
Techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to control a
violent confrontation. 60 minutes
-
Techniques for nonviolent dispute resolution. 60 minutes
-
Written testing and evaluation, student counseling and
questions, administrative time. 120 minutes
-
Recertification Program and Advanced Training.
Certificates will be mailed approximately two weeks after test
grading and processing.

minutes or approximately 16 hours

of presentation. The lessons were developed, in order, directly
from the Concealed Handgun Act.2003 amended 2005.
Concealed Handgun Training Packages---- $250

Basic Concealed handgun Course and an
additional advanced course. This can be used for renewal and
upgrading license purposes or just for getting good.

Bring a friend or family member for initial
(new Licensing) with a refresher or renewal program for
license holder. Attend together the basic class. Remember
security is a family affair.
- Concealed Handgun Course with Two Additional
Range Practice Sessions with follow on classes. Gets the new
shooter some extra live shooting.
