individual possesses. The use of that power is what our training is all
about. We believe in promoting and developing that individual power and

We know that everyone
at least once will by violently assaulted in their lives. You may or may not
have a handgun at the time of the situation, but the knowledge, awareness
and skills that you have will double your chances of survival. This is
significant. Many of our students before attending our courses have
experienced violent crime and it's losses. An ounce of prevention equals a
pound of cure.
Here at Personal
Security Consulting we are not paranoid. We expect that violent crime will
happen and we are willing to stop it personally. In addition, we believe
safety from crime is an individual and social responsibility, not a right
granted or guaranteed by someone else.

In all our training
programs we place emphasis on the inner circle of family, coworkers,
neighbors and friends working to together in prevention, during and after an
incident. Special group rates for your inner circle are part of our program
to encourage you to bring the people who are close to you. It is in your and
their best interest to be trained together. Training with your inner circle
with us is a great experience.
There are numerous
exercises in our programs to develop group cooperation and safety. Even with
individual skills we use partner exercises to accelerate your learning-
especially in firearms safety skills.

Young Person
Participation is Highly Encouraged
Persons under 18 may
attend Personal Security Consulting's proprietary firearms training programs.
14 year olds are the youngest that should come. 18 year olds or younger must
attend the program with a parent or guardian.
A $25 dollar token
charge is per teenager. Parents should take care in counseling with their
teenagers before attending to determine if they have the ability and
attitude to learn.
Parents
may also limit participation in the class as they deem to be in the best
interest of their teenager. All Teenagers that have attended our programs
have learned firearms safety, ethical and legal information effectively.
These
programs are excellent for a young person. However space for teenagers is
limited, class sizes are limited because of adult participation.
There are some limitations with teenager participation.
Teenagers may not take advanced training courses. The NRA Personal
Protection series programs are limited to adults 21 years old by National
Rifle Association Policy. However, the NM basic handgun program is available
to be audited by young people with adult supervision.

Security Officers may
use the basic combative handgun course for their certification training and
get the NM Concealed Carry License at no extra charge. Both Arizona and New
Mexico officers may use this program.

Training
This is the premier
basic handgun program for self defense. The course is for self defense, home
defense, concealed handgun licensing and security training. The name course
says everything. The course is designed for one purpose- to survive and win
a violent confrontation.
The program is
carefully constructed from the best training methods available in the
firearms training industry. Scientific research and operational history from
real shooting situations have been used in the construction of this program.
The combative handgun course is not a recreational shooting program. If your
goal is self defense this is the program you should take. The program is
prioritized:
Weapon Safety
is thoroughly covered in the first half day of the program. Participants
will learn the “Three Weapon Safety Rules” that will help them be safe and
effective with any weapon. Firearms etiquette, range and home safety are
all covered well.
Tactics
Training
our famous tactics exercise conducted at lunch time, prepared before hand
with awareness and tactical principals is conducted in small groups. From
the beginning, it is important to know how to work with your inner circle of
family, friends, coworkers or bystanders to stay in the safest position
possible. Likewise, protecting bystanders and your self from fratricide (
you being shot by mistake) are critical skills taught in our program.
At the range you will
learn how to stop and attacker with good tactics and communications.
Shooting is taught as a last resort. Protective movement, verbal commands
and the use of cover are integrated into live fire exercises because how
you train will be how you survive and you will survive. This is a
professional level handgun course based on your needs.

Weapon Effectiveness
through proper maintenance, holsters and handling are taught through out
the program. You will learn how
to shoot a handgun from concealment in our program, if you are applying for
a concealed permit. All participants will
carry, draw, shoot and holster a live loaded handgun in the program.

Renewal and Refresher and Security Review Courses
The concealed handgun renewal and refresher
and security officer review courses may be conducted in tangent with taking
the second day of the basic program. The time is a full day. Most of the
advanced handgun programs are
